Development of sense of direction is important in early learning. It is related to cognitive maps, spatial awareness, and spatial cognition. Children with a good sense of direction will be able to know one's location and perform wayfinding. This Directions and Colours Learning Game encourages development of sense of direction and colour recognition skills. To play, teachers randomly place the colour buckets on the left column and turn the purple arrows on the top row to different directions. Children then need to place the 16 coloured hexagonal arrow blocks in the matching directions and matching colours.
